Firewalkers got their name for often being the first animals sighted in the ashes after a wildfire. The lightweight but thermally resistant compound shell helps them survive extreme temperatures in a cocoon-like rolled up mode.

Fun fact: Firewalkers make supply stashes all across their territory, but unlike squirrels never forget where. Rather peaceful normally, they can get quite militant when protecting those.
