These creatures prefer the shade of forest undergrowth, which provides them with both food and cover from predatory birds. Individual coloration may vary, but only male species wear the spiky decoration on the back.

Fun fact: Emerald Harlequins live in well-organized groups with complex social roles and behavioral patterns. For example, dedicated sentinels are set out during the feeding time and use whistle to warn the grazing tribe about incoming dangers.
