Although some species are known to be blood-sucking, most Greensprings feed on the tree sap. They’ve got a special mouth adaptation for boring bark and can store the excesses of sap in the abdomen.

Fun fact: Maple Greensprings can change the color of their skin during the year and turn red in the autumn to match the hue of the maple crowns, which (as hinted by the name) they prefer to dwell in.
