Rattlebacks are known for exceptional regeneration abilities and potentially unlimited longevity. They are also capable of developing dramatic accelerations, but rarely do so since they’ve got virtually no reasons to hurry.

Fun fact: Commonly found in the shadows of lichen-covered tree trunks, Brown Rattlebacks hunt certain kinds of insects attracted to the glow and the crackling sounds produced by the appendices on their backs. Interestingly, the same sounds help keeping most predators away.
